A: It's a Hat
[ For those who have met Pyra, they may probably recall that a golden headband set with a peculiar crystal usually sits atop her hair. Today that isn't the case. Instead, she appears to have swapped the accessory with something a little-- rather, a lot different: a hat. Not just any hat, but a flat-brimmed western, of which some may recognize belonging to another resident of the town.
It's too big for her head, and in accordance with the fickle weather of the city, a gust of wind blows the hat right off. ] ...Ah!
[ It's flying right at you, too. Catch it? Or, even if you don't, she will, sprinting and leaping past you to ensure that it does not touch the ground. This hat is important! Very important! She's not going to let it become damaged if she can help it. Whether you or she manages to save it from a fall, she breathes out a sigh of relief, smiling at you as she straightens up, tossing her hair. ] ...Thank goodness. That was a close one. [ Then, a polite bow. ] I'm sorry about that.
B: Wacky Weather
[ The weather is just... weird. And cold, very cold in this particular district, which may or may not be the most important district because it is the shopping district. But look at her, still dressed in the same outfit as ever! She's currently peering into one of the shops... There's a scarf. A very fluffy scarf on one of the mannequins that she's staring at.
Aaaaand since she's unnaturally warm and doesn't need it, she turns away from it only to spot..... you, at which point her eyes widen and she draws a quick breath, making her way over. Don't mind her, quickly reaching for both of your hands to take into hers, warming them with the unnatural heat of her touch. ]
Oh, no, you look almost frostbitten...
[ Guiding your hands up further, she brings them up to her mouth where she blows onto them gently, then rubbing her hands quickly over yours. ] Better?
C: Wildcard
[ yo hmu if u have any ideas for py here! she can be found lotsa places around the city, from the gardens to the zoo to looking at motorcycles/cars, to cafes. pm or pp
drinksteapots me for plotting, or surprise me here! ]

It worked, then.
[ The effect is questionable, but the power of kings has manipulated the juice's property. That's a start. (Between this and the book in Chroma, Pyra and Mythra's powers truly are far-reaching.) ]
no subject
Excuse me?
[ It worked?? Was her description accurate in any way?! SHE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND! ]

It’s a bit like the first one, where it restores someone’s form from— [ ......UM. ] an amphibian?
[ Again looking at Somnus with silent confusion. Anyway, here’s the third one, handwaved. ]
no subject
Ailments that alter one's appearance exist in my world. Whether or not they do here remains to be seen.
[ In other words, if they don't, these concoctions are useless. ]
no subject
You... Have you been turned into an amphibian?!
[ She’s thinking salamander... Pardon her question, she’ll feel bad for inquiring of his past soon enough. ]
no subject
I have borne witness to those who have. They became toads for a time—prey for their serpentine predator.
no subject
Instead she swallows. ] I'm amazed that an ailment like that exists at all. [ There's no such thing in her world. ] That's very... clever for the serpent. Imagine being able to turn anything into your sustenance!
[ Of course, she's thinking that this predator uses it on... rodents, trees, and so forth, anything that is not a frog that needs to be turned into one so that it can be eaten. ]

Moreover, they serve a similar function here for the gods. But that isn't worth the breath of voicing. He cranes his neck toward the food replicator. ]
Certain drinks can be imbued with restorative properties to treat wounds. There was an invasion prior to our arrival. I will inquire after what the others used.
no subject
Do you recall what you have used as as a base for restorative elixirs before? [ Otherwise it will be trial and error-- ] If not, we can go through a variety of fruits and vegetables.... [ A pause. ] Maybe oats, too, or egg substitutes.
[ Time for smoothie potions. ]
no subject
Earlier, he asked for simulating drinks. While fruit juices provide some measure of rush, the stimulation, as he understands, isn't nearly enough to boast a restorative effect. What in this modern period is just as easy to come by and triggers adrenaline—? ]
Perhaps we should try coffee or tea.
no subject
and it's so booooring. ]Herbal? Black? Spiced?
[ Poof, poof, poof, the replicator has made samples of dried leaves and fruits of each. She begins to package them into filter bags. ]
What is kind is your favorite?
no subject
Tisane treats poison.
no subject
That would be helpful, considering the outside air is toxic in some manner... Ah, and that those giant spiders are likely to be venamous, should we encounter any more of them.
[ She begins making the tea, then waits for him infuse them with magic. ]
Although we should be cautious of any create outside, if they all bleed that black ooze.
no subject
The sickness that spread during the wall's reconstruction—was that not due to the toxin?
[ It seems the only plausible explanation, and that means traditional or magical medicine won't do anything for it. Fortunately, they'll have each other if they gain permission to step outside. ]
no subject
It would be good to have these concoctions regardless... And it would be best to remain in contact while traveling outside.
[ ... ] We still might be affected regardless, if you are willing to take that risk.
no subject
There can be no gain without risk. I am prepared to do what we must.
[ As for the teas, the tasine predictably treats poison, whereas the other two boast some restorative properties. ]
no subject
He's made... six of these concoctions, all used for various ailments, curatives, reversals, healing. ] ....I.... cannot heal you. These will be useful.
[ Won't heal him, more like, and she knows this, that she would leave him to perish instead of using Mythra's own power. The world just isn't worth the risk; his life isn't, either. ]
But if something were to happen, who may I contact of your family? [ This is something Honerva had thought to ask of her, when they had decided to investigate the barrier. ]
no subject
Inform the young king. Regis.
What of yourself?
[ He can't imagine a scenario where he returns to deliver news regarding Pyra, but they should prepare themselves for all possible outcomes. ]
no subject
As for his question, she shakes her head. He had been the one she had told Honerva to inform if anything had happened to her while they would investigate the barrier, if only because she lives with him. But as for anyone else... ] I have no family here.
[ Moving the hell away from that topic, she looks to the potions. ] How many of these can you make... and carry?
no subject
As many as there are containers for them. I can carry ten at most.
[ During the repair of the wall, he noticed that his Armiger was limited in the amount of things he could store. Combined with the essentials and what he can carry on his person, ten seems a reasonable estimate. ]
no subject
And then her eyes raise to him. Why only ten? ]
Er, only ten?
[ Like, surely they can bring, oh she doesn't know, a backpack of some sort. What is he talking about? ]
no subject
How many would you have us carry?
no subject
How effective are they? These elixirs...
no subject
The throbbing subsides and disappears altogether within the minute. He sets the emptied glass down to look at his arm. ]
They treat moderate injuries. The black tea is more potent.
