Birthday Party + Bar Opening! ALL welcome!

▶ THE VENUE ◀ Welcome to Insomnia 2.0! While renovations are still ongoing and things are likely to change and improve over the next several weeks, the bar is now open for business on this very auspicious day. The bar is being opened in conjunction with one of it's owners birthdays; Tony Stark. So for that reason, the bar will be free for the duration of the party! So please come, enjoy and have a fantastic time! What you will see when you arrive at the bar will be twinkling lights. All signs of construction have been cleared away. Outside there are three long tables and chairs, two of which will be covered by a white table cloth and a variety of food and drink. Fairy lights hang from the walls and roof, scattered about like little stars. As the sun goes down more lights will brighten the area giving the outside of the bar an almost magical feel. Inside the bar it has also been cleaned up. There are more lights, hanging and lining the walls, but there is also music and a space lined up for dancing, should anyone wish to enjoy Tony's Earth music. Most tables and chairs have been moved outside, but the rest have been moved toward the walls to give more secluded, private areas while leaving the main room free for people to mingle and dance. While the décor is simple. It is elegant and as the night creeps in the magical feel will only grow. ♫ THE MUSIC ♫ There WILL be karaoke! ▶ THE FOOD ◀ There are two tables set up containing food, these tables are covered with a table cloth and outside. Gladio would like to thank Lup and her team for helping with some of the catering. As well as Ignis, Mina, Ann and Pyra for help with other cooking and the making of the cakes! Finger foods: • Various kinds of sandwiches • Affurgato's signature quiches. • Salad bowls. • Meat and fish skewers with vegetables with interesting and tasty sauces. Desserts: • Various flavours of fruit tart. • Assorted flavours of cookies. (Including white-chocolate macadamia) • Nyalasadas • Croquembouche. • Three Birthday Cakes! Strawberry, Chocolate and Coffee. Drinks: • With thanks to Affurgato: Red, white and rose wine will be available. • There will be ales, cocktails and champagne on offer. • As well as fruit sodas. • The bar will be open so all ale will be free for this night. ▶ DRESS CODE ◀ The dress code for the party is: Fancy. Suit and tie and party dresses are a must. Why? Because when else do you get a chance to dress up and have a good time? If the girls want to wear suits and the guys want to wear dresses, that is within the rules! Colours don't matter. The idea here is to have a good time and to enjoy yourself! ▶ O.O.C ◀ There are going to be a few prompts below should you be interested to join those, but feel free to make your own top levels and enjoy the shenanigans! |

Alright, so a Shieldmaker.. the idea for this shot is you are taking the shot right along with the beer, okay? Trust me, tonight's going to me for after this.
[He doesn't wait for any more encouragement before he's showing Cloud how to do a 'depth charge' (i.e. drop the shot of whiskey into the beer and then drink both down). As a professional party man, he, of course, can do this with ease no matter how many years it's been since he did one last. And yes, he makes a show of it and gets several people at the bar to clap for him because, he's Tony Stark and you know he needs applause to floss his teeth.]

He doesn't know why and when he thinks about it, unease and anxiety set in....
So he decides not to for the moment.
Instead, he watches curiously as Tony shows him how to prepare the Shieldmaker and drink it. When Tony finishes and the clapping dies down.] Hm. Not bad. Can't be too hard to do though.
[He's got good dexterity because of SOLDIER enhancements so he'll be able to nail it!!!! Maybe after a few tries, anyway.]

[And Tony cheers when the young man indeed succeeds. Cloud is rewarded by.. a second Shieldmaker (or third, whichever). That's about how long Tony's attention span lasts before he spies the present Cloud brought and had put on the gift table.
He went over and snatched the box. Setting it on the bar, he flashed the blonde a grin.]
You know you didn't really have to get me anything, right?

Even though he's feeling a liiiittle tipsy. He's not sure if he should stop or take another one just to show he fucking can. And then suddenly, he spots Tony getting his present and dropping it up on the counter.]

[And then he pauses, realising what he has said.]....Shit.

Well, come on then!
[He picked up the box and snagged Cloud's wrist. With a hard tug, he pulled the fellow into the kitchen away from the majority of the crowd. In the kitchen there were some people flitting in and out for one reason or another, but the area was large and since it was all catered the majority of the space wasn't being used.]

When they finally got to a spot in the kitchen, he noticed there weren't many people about. He looked at Tony confused.] Better? What are you talk- [Wait a minute. Tony said he was going to open the box.] H-hang on a sec! [Oh god this is embarassing. What if Tony doesn't like his present or starts making fun of him?
Should Tony ignore him and open the present anyway, he'll find a pair of well-made and comfortable martial arts gloves.]

The older man blinked when he stared at the gloves. He was teleported back to a time when he was boxing with Happy and still worrying over his arc reactor in his chest. That's how he'd met Natasha, though he hadn't known at the time who- or more like what- she was. She'd been a good friend..
He shook his head, shaking loose those old thoughts to the present. He still trained hand to hand combat. That had to be how Cloud knew to get these but.. it he looked at his friend pleased.]

He waits anxiously as Tony stares at the gloves, wondering what the response will be. Does he like them or not?
......He doesn't like them, does he?
And then Tony finally responds and he looks happy. Relief appears on his face.]
Saw you fighting and training in the arena. Thought those would be pretty damn useful.
