It's less that he wants to talk about it, really, and more that he wants... Kai to understand him better for it, he thinks? What he's seen and what they've talked about so far makes Shinji feel like he's seen a different side of Kai, like he's getting a more complete picture of him outside of calming and accommodating dragon-and-mouse wrangler he'd experienced thus far. He hadn't meant to stumble into his dreams like that, but there was no taking it back now, just as he couldn't take back what Kai had seen. Maybe, though, he could help him make more sense of it all anyway.
